We love any excuse to dress up in our house, so Halloween is always a time of great excitement. We have always preferred to throw a Halloween themed party rather than taking part in the usual guising and with Covid-19 and lockdown (2020) celebrations were going to be on a smaller scale. We decided to… Continue reading Halloween

Chocolate Depression Cake
Recipe here I made this cake out of the blue after seeing an advert for it on facebook. It is brilliant, especially when you don't have all the usual ingredients in the house or if you have allergies you need to think about. This cake has no butter, eggs or milk.

Under the Sea is another very popular topic and one that is easily incorporated into the nursery/infant years settings. There could even be adaptations and activities within this topic applicable throughout the primary school, e.g. conservation. I have added my planning mindmap below and will detail all the activities Robbie and I did. Under the… Continue reading Under the Sea
Superheros

We love all the movies, tv-series etc. Robbie started becoming really interested in them too (age appropriately of course) just after his 2nd birthday so we decided to make superheroes one of our themes. This was one of my favourite themes and has produced games and activities… Continue reading Superheros
