We used this lovely recipe as part of our Wales themed week. Traditionally these are cooked in a dry griddle/frying pan like pancakes, however, it was much safer with Robbie helping to just pop them into the oven. Robbie insisted on using our angel Christmas cookie cutter to make “butterfly” Welsh cakes. So we ended up with very tasty, slightly unconventional, butterfly Welsh cake biscuits!
